Death Row Pen Pal 101
Ave for Life is launching the Death Row Inmate Penpal Project here on our campus, giving Ave Maria the opportunity to share the love of Christ with those who may otherwise never meet Him. The men and women on Death Row are isolated 24 hours a day in 9x7 cells, most abandoned by family and friends.
The Death Row Penpal Project pairs each person with someone Death Row and invites you to visit the imprisoned through monthly letters. This is truly an opportunity to extend your pro-life beliefs and practices beyond the unborn to show those nearing the end their life their value and dignity.
A recent quote from a Death Row pen-pal to an Ave Maria student: "It is as if Christ himself wrote me that letter to remind me that He's still here with me, and that He won't leave me alone, as all those I loved before 'all this' have."
